The variety of hazards, some of which were in the river, proved challenging for all the riders, although the toughest sections were beneath the local ski lift on the rocky hillside. This location caused problems for Toni Bou where he experienced a run of three fives that handed Raga the lead. All the top riders received time penalties and struggled to meet the three-hour deadline. However, it was Adam Raga who produced the best final lap to achieve the victory.
Despite coming second to local favourite Matteo Grattarola, Alexz Wigg retains his lead in the Junior category and looks likely to win the Championship at the next round in Andorra. A stunning last lap by Wigg was not enough to catch Grattarola, with Alfredo Gomez grabbing the final podium place from Jack Challoner on a "most cleans" tie break.
A tense finish in the Youth class saw Spanish rider Carles Traviesa achieve his third win of the season, beating Maxime Warenghein by a single clean after the pair tied on six marks apiece.
