While everyone else was focusing on the battle between Toni Bou and Adam Raga at the top of the World Championship standings, Jeroni Fajardo's two stunning laps sealed his first ever victory at World level, demoting Bou and Raga to third and second respectively. Takahisa Fujinami and Dougie Lampkin completed the top five placings.
After easy progress through the opening four sections, the riders found the final river hazard to be a particular challenge, with only Fujinami achieving a three on the first lap. Toni Bou got his initial nerves under control until he fived section nine, with Raga making a similar mistake a few sections later. At the halfway point Fajardo was in the lead and in only dropping four marks on the second lap, he was a clear and deserving winner.
In the Junior class Alfredo Gomez claimed his second win of the season ahead of Mateo Grattarola
in second and Francesc Moret taking the third podium place. Despite coming seventh on the day, the points were enough for Alexz Wigg to win the 2009 SPEA Trial Junior Championship with two rounds remaining. Wigg confirmed he will ride in the World Pro class at these two rounds that will close the 2009 season.
Another first victory went to Belgium's Maxime Warenghien in the Youth class, putting him second in the overall standings. However, despite only achieving third place in this round, Jonathan Richardson still did enough to capture the 2009 SPEA FIM Trial Youth Championship with two rounds remaining. Due to his age Richardson will remain on his 125 machine, but will move up to the Junior category for the closing two events to allow his rivals to fight to become vice-champion. Further British success was achieved by Ben Morphett who finished second in this round, his best ever result.
