Having started as a dry course offering good grip, the sudden heavy rain made the hazards slippery and treacherous. From his starting position at the back of the field, Toni Bou was in the worst possible place to handle the change in conditions, leaving him resigned to fourth place. In contract, Adam Raga managed to get in an awesome opening lap, leaving only 2 sections to complete when the rain began to fall, putting him at a considerable advantage against his competitors and resulting in his third victory in this year's competition, and runner-up in the overall World Championship standings.
After leading Raga by a single point at the halfway stage, Takahisa Fujinami too fell victim to the weather conditions and achieved second place, establishing him in third position in the overall World Championship classifications. With Jeroni Fajardo's good form continuing to another third place, he repeated last year's success taking fourth position overall.
In the Junior class, Alfredo Gomez won for the third consecutive Round, which gave him the overall runner-up spot, the title having already been clinched by Alexz Wigg, who has now moved into the World Pro category. Second and third places on the podium were taken by Matteo Grattarola and Jack Challoner respectively, with Grattarola beating Challoner to third in the overall standings.
This round of the Youth Championship was won by Maxime Warenghien, taking the overall runner-up position behind Jonathan Richardson who had already won the 2009 Youth World Championship and moved up a class for this round. Second place in the round went to French rider Tanguy Mottin, giving him third in the overall standings, while the final podium place went to Carles Traviesa.
